Hep C Testing and Treatment

Tarzana Treatment Centers (TTC) screens all patients for risk factors for exposure to Hepatitis C. all patients are screened for Hepatitis C risk factors and patients who are at risk receive a rapid test and, if positive, are counseled and offered a confirmatory test and are referred to treatment. Medicare, Medi-Cal and most private insurance plans provide treatment with no or modest copays.

• Have you ever injected drugs, even once many years ago?
• Were you born between 1945 – 1965?
• Are you living with HIV?
• Did you have a blood transfusion or organ transplant before 1992?
• Have you ever received a tattoo or piercing in jail or prison?
• Have you ever been on long-term dialysis?
• Have you ever been exposed to HCV positive blood at work (e.g., by an accidental needlestick)?
• Were you born to a mother with a Hepatitis C infection?
