Youth Services
(This service is available in Northridge, Tarzana, Long Beach, and Lancaster)
Teen and young adult residents participate in a specialized adolescent alcohol and drug treatment track designed to address their unique needs. Daily youth-specific groups and activities explore issues that contributed to the initial and continued use of drugs and alcohol, provide a safe environment for the open expression of feelings, develop alternative coping strategies and skills and build a positive peer support network. In addition regular outings and activities provide residents with socially appropriate ways to enjoy life without the use of alcohol or drugs. These services are coordinated through the Youth Services Department, using staff with advanced training and expertise in this area. You can visit our Youth section to find out more information about TTC youth services.
Women’s and Children’s Residential Program
Services provided in Tarzana, Lancaster, and Long Beach, are designed to meet the unique needs of women. Pregnant and postpartum women can be admitted with their children and all residents participate in an on-site nursery cooperative that provides childcare and hands-on lessons in parenting and child development. Women may bring up to two preschool age children with them into treatment.
The philosophy and structure of the program is similar to that of the co-ed Adult Residential Program, with additional emphasis placed on issues more often encountered by women, including physical and sexual abuse, child rearing and empowerment.
