When the Going Gets Tough, the Tough Get Help
Drug addiction makes life tough, to state an obvious point.
Experimenting with drugs is unfortunately considered a rite of passage in some circles, and many who engage in the activity will stop when they begin to see consequences arise. At the risk of sounding light-hearted about it, that’s when addicts are just getting started. Things only get worse from that point.
One of the most difficult things for an addict to do is to ask for help. They feel weak and alone, and loved ones are usually unhappy with them. The truth is that strength comes from giving up, where addiction is concerned, and loved ones need to be there to get them into treatment when that happens.
You need to act quick, because that moment of clarity can fade fast.
